Latest Products:

The Idapt is able to charge a cellphone, camera and iPod simultaneously and is ideal for mobile users who may need to charge multiple devices at the same time. It replaces cluttered workspaces where plugs and multiple charging cables are a problem and allows users to charge electronic equipment without the need for separate cables and plugs.

Environmental Causes:

Uniross aims to educate the population on recycling. Uniross have started initiatives with local schools, supermarkets and businesses in order to create awareness of the importance of recycling and the causes it has on the environment. Currently, it is estimated that the annual battery consumption in South Africa amounts to a staggering 50-million, more than 95 percent of which are disposable batteries.  2500 tons worth of batteries are disposed into our landfills every year and these eventually corrode and degrade.

One AAA battery can pollute up to 500 litres of water and one cubic metre of land for 50 years. A single rechargeable battery can replace up to 1000 non-rechargeable batteries, making rechargeable batteries far more environmentally friendly and more cost-effective for the consumer. Statistics show South Africans throw away 50-million batteries every year.

Uniross Eco Panda:

The Uniross Bio Panda has been hard at work. Following the success of his battery recycling programme (with Pick n Pay) where over 40 000 used batteries were collected for recycling, a large retailer has now extended the programme to collect plastic containers, ink cartridges and CFC light bulbs.

In a study conducted by Uniross, it was established that rechargeable batteries have up to 32 times less impact on the environment than disposable batteries; 28 times less potential on global warming; 30 times less potential impact on air pollution; nine times less potential on air acidification and 12 times less potential impact on water pollution.
